Chief information officers (CIOs) expect an uptick in information technology (IT) hiring in the third quarter of 2006, according to the Robert Half Technology IT Hiring Index and Skills Report. Almost 15% of executives polled plan to add IT staff in the next three months, and 3% anticipate cutbacks. The net 12% hiring increase is up two percentage points from the previous quarter’s forecast.
