 Province pumps $430,000 into rural Internet project

AMHERST — A pilot project that could determine the best way to bring high-speed Internet service to rural and remote areas of the province is about to start in the Tidnish-Port Howe area of Cumberland County.

The province launched the project Tuesday by requesting proposals from the private sector to work with the Economic Development Department, the Cumberland Regional Economic Development Association and local community groups...
