| ain't just american companies who were shifty with options, lots of places pretty slack. mostly execs giving each other sneaky pats on the back, extra compensation. you never hear of anyone nowadays getting options, except in crappy startups that try to lure good people for less money. it's a scam, golden cage - it's just in the dot bomb era people could actually make money off the first couple sets that vested, ratrher than now when it'll take five or ten years and you'll make almost nothing or they'll be 'underwater' and not worth cashing. |
