 Liverpool’s new call centre to employ 200

The new call centre company is here and employee training is in full swing. An official announcement was made November 6 that On-Line Support Inc. will employ approximately 200 people by the end of February.

Nova Scotia Business Inc. Business Development Executive Tonya O’Quinn says, the event was about letting the community and the province know that this site is back and operational. About 100 employees attended the announcement today, and another group will be brought in next week to begin training. By mid November they will have people on the phones and taking calls. O’Quinn says, of the 100 employees, 95 of them previously worked at Lightbridge.

On-Line Support Inc. President and CEO Ross Beattie wants people to know that even though the call centre is capable of handling more than 200 employees they will allow the community to tell them how big it will become. He says jobs at the call centre can be turned into a career path, with the opportunity for some to move into management positions...
