Keeping pace with technology is critical to the growth and survival of all businesses, yet small and medium-sized businesses in Nova Scotia and across Canada are spending less, in general, on information and communications technology than larger firms.
Most small and medium-sized businesses understand that investment in technology is critical to staying competitive, but they have still been slow to adopt new technologies. An estimated 20 per cent of those businesses have no technology staff, and nationally, nearly half have two or fewer full-time technology staff on their payroll.
