Internet giant CSC Corporate Domains Canada has acquired part of Register.com’s call centre business in Yarmouth County and is getting its own provincial tax incentive worth up to $1.48 million to set up shop near Yarmouth.
Nova Scotia Business Inc. authorized a payroll rebate, an incentive directly linked to the number of jobs created, for CSC on Oct. 25. It was approved by cabinet Nov. 6.
Sarah Levy, spokeswoman for the province’s economic development agency, said Thursday some new jobs will be created as a result of CSC’s move to Hebron Industrial Park but she could not reveal the number Thursday.
