Nominations have been released for the seventh annual "Metro Halifax Business Awards", as presented by the Halifax Chamber of Commerce, and four members of the IT industry have been recognized with a nomination:

Business of the Year:

Business Person of the year:

• XWAVE's Allen Dillon, Director of Federal Accounts Aerospace and Defence
• CGI's Cecil Smith, senior vice-president
  

New Business of the year:

• ALPHASEARCH, Peter Sickles, owner
