 New Executive Director Appointed for NovaKnowledge

The Board of Directors of NovaKnowledge is pleased to announce the appointment of Tim Outhit as Executive Director.

Tim joined NovaKnowledge as Executive Director in April 2006. Board Chair, Douglas Logan commented that “Tim brings over 20 years of management, sales, marketing, business development and channels management experience to NovaKnowledge”. Tim’s experience covers a range of sectors including: technology, information, software and publishing. Logan further noted that, “Tim possesses extensive volunteer and community experience, plus tremendous vision, enthusiasm and relationship building skills”.

Prior to joining NovaKnowledge, Tim was a Director of Business Development at InfoInterActive Inc. (an AOL company), World Wide Channels Manager for Electronics Workbench (a National Instruments Company), and Vice President, Sales for QUICKLAW (now LEXIS-NEXIS Canada).

Tim is a graduate of Dalhousie University. He has also completed executive and management programs at Queens University, York University and the University of Toronto.

Tim returned to Halifax in 2000, determined to raise his family here and to contribute to his native province and city, after 13 years in Moncton, Vancouver, and Toronto.  He is active on numerous community committees and on several fundraising boards. Tim, and his wife and 2 daughters reside in Bedford and also enjoy spending time at their home in Malagash, Cumberland Co.
