EastLink is expanding its network in Nova Scotia.
The Halifax-based company announced Monday it has signed an agreement to purchase RuSh Communications Ltd., effective Sept. 1
RuSh, first granted a licence in 1976 to provide cable TV to Port Hawkesbury and Mulgrave, serves customers throughout Nova Scotia, with its largest systems located in the Bridgetown area of the Annapolis Valley, the Clare area of Digby County, Milford, Port Hawkesbury, Canso, Eskasoni, Mulgrave and Port Hood. It is owned by Cape Breton entrepreneur Joe Shannon.
"We’re excited about this purchase because it allows us to expand EastLink’s footprint in Nova Scotia and build an even stronger presence," Lee Bragg, Eastlink’s co-chief executive officer, said in a release.
