Halifax-area businesses expect to keep hiring over the next few months, although with less fervour than a year ago.
Thirty-three per cent of employers in the area plan to hire for the upcoming quarter (July to September), while none plan to cut their workforce, according to the latest Manpower Inc. employment outlook survey, released Tuesday.
Another 64 per cent of the city’s employers say they will keep their current staffing levels while three per cent are uncertain of their hiring intentions, David Osborne of Manpower’s Halifax office said in a release Tuesday.
