SYDNEY — Cape Breton Regional Police have developed an addiction to the wireless handheld devices commonly called CrackBerrys.
"It’s kind of hard for me to take this smile off my face today," Chief Edgar MacLeod said Wednesday as the demonstrated their new BlackBerrys at the police station in Sydney. "We’re all beaming with pride and morale is just great."
Police managers outfitted 50 officers with BlackBerrys in May and expect to outfit another 100 within a year.
